Firstly, Vannes in Morbihan is accessible from Paris by train in 2.5 hours thanks to its TGV station located in the city centre. Saint-Malo in Ille-et-Vilaine is also accessible from Paris by train (2:40) and from Rennes by TER in less than an hour.

If you don’t want to invest in Brittany, here are other interesting cities to buy new properties according to this ranking: Aytre near La Rochelle in Charente-Maritime, Montpellier (Hérault), Les Sables-d’Olonne (Vendée), Bayonne and Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), as well as Six-Fours-les-Plages (Var), although the last three are further from Paris by train (more than four hours).
