BAGNOLS Fight against drugs: judicial review, prison sentence and residence ban for six people


Six people, including a minor, were taken into police custody for illegal transportation, possession, acquisition, offering or transportation of drugs.

After two days in police custody, the persons concerned were brought before the public prosecutor this Wednesday, April 24. The juvenile accused was placed on court supervision and summoned before a juvenile judge for a plea hearing. Five of the defendants, adults, were arraigned on Thursday, April 25, and two of them were sentenced to 18 months in prison suspended for probation, the other three to 30 months and 24 months in prison. All were banned from staying in Bagnols-sur-Cèze for two years.

“These actions are part of the GLTD – the local group for the treatment of delinquency – carried out under the direction of the public prosecutor in consultation with the city, the internal security forces and the public services in Bagnols-sur-Cèze in order to fight the drug trade and the underground economy”, inform the services of the public prosecutor in Nîmes.
