This delay will affect a wide range of the population, approx 32.8 million peopleincluding the principal beneficiaries as well as their spouses and children.

The support in question includes various allowances such as family allowance, which 11.7 million households receive, as well as social minimums such as active solidarity income (RSA), activity bonus or even disabled adult allowance (AAH), of which benefiting 7.6 million households. . The payments affected by this CAF delay also include housing assistance, which is used by 5.9 million households each month.

These social benefits, usually paid on the 5th of each month for the previous month, allow beneficiaries to plan their expenses. However, the payment date is not always fixed. In the event of a public holiday or weekend, such as October 2024, when transfers take place on Friday the 4th, CAF will adjust the payment date to facilitate access to funds.

For the current month, recipients will have to wait until Monday, May 6, 2024 get their help. Despite this slight delay, recipients are advised to plan for this adjustment and pay attention to possible variations in bank processing times. Please note that the actual receipt of funds may still differ by a few days depending on the specific deadlines of individual banks. So, some households may have to wait until May 8 or 9 get their benefits.
